Cheap reclaimed paint – just £1 a litre from Cambridge Wood Works
A new partnership which will help extend a Community RePaint scheme to southern parts of Cambridgeshire was launched at Market Square, Cambridge, on Friday 11 November 2011 at 1pm.
Don the Dulux dog, Mayor of Cambridge councillor Ian Nimmo-Smith and Anne Ridgeon, Chairman of Ridgeons Ltd helped launch the scheme, which provides unwanted paint at a low cost for the benefit of people and the community. Paint will be available to buy from Cambridge Wood Works.
The Community Repaint partnership has been brought together by The Cambridgeshire Community Reuse and Recycling Network (CCORRN), based in March, already collects paint from special paint-banks provided by Waterbeach-based waste management company AmeyCespa at six of Cambridgeshire County Council’s recycling centres.
