here’s a prototype compost bin made from reclaimed wood packaging – even the nails have been reused to create the “Alex” a 900x900x900mm untreated softwood compost bin. The front slats are removable to allow access to the compost. The sides are fully closed to retain heat but can be modified to allow air circulation. Other sizes and designs to follow. The “Alex II” will be available for mail order soon….

Hi DeniThat one measures 900mmx900mmx900mm and costs £65, including one coat of shed&fence paint. We can make other sizes to order – all from 100% reclaimed timber.We also do an optional lid for £22.50, which helps keep heat and moisture in and rain out.Let us know if you're interested in one!David
